Remember when we told you fellows about McLaren’s latest addition to the racing world, the P1 GTR? There was this little detail we discovered, and it had something to do with the steering wheel and Lewis Hamilton’s Formula One car. Call it coincidence or not, but here we are now using the same two names again, Hamilton and McLaren P1. However, it’s different this time.
As we were saying earlier this year, the P1 GTR is lighter, grippier and totally insane. It follows from where the P1 GTR Design Concept left off, during last year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Since this particular model was designed to break free from the on-road limitations, it came with all the race features it can possibly integrate. It even comes with a steering wheel modeled after Lewis Hamilton’s Formula One car.

Whether this little aspect has anything to do with the reports claiming Hamilton has decided to buy a McLaren P1 for himself or not, we don’t know. According to The Supercar Kids, the Formula One champ decided to get another supercar after his recent win at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The blue McLaren P1 was spotted in Monaco the other day and apparently will soon enough be seen in Hamilton’s wealthy garage. Finished in this gorgeous shade of blue completed with gloss black wheels and rear view mirrors, the McLaren P1 also has a blue carbon splitter, roof snorkel, and rear wing.

If the reports prove to be true, it means Hamilton is one more step closer to owning what us, petrolheads call the "supercar triad." Think of it this way, he already bought a Ferrari LaFerrari, now ordered for the McLaren P1, so there’s only one piece left in the puzzle. We’ll let you complete the list. Think of it like a quiz if you wish.
