Lexus NX SUV Gets ACC Air Suspension and Widebody Kit

Tuning projects based on Japanese SUVs are not as well known as those for the BMW and Mercedes counterparts, but we do like this Lexus NX 200t F Sport, which has been kitted out by two major players on the JDM scene: Aimgain and ACC.

Even though it's classes as an SUV and competes for the same customers as a Land Rover Discovery Sport, the Lexus NX 200t F Sport rides really low as standard. But the ACC Airrunner suspension system can lower it by a further 100mm or 4 inches. The system uses a 4 gallon compressed air tank located under the false boot floor to quickly raise or lower the suspension using large inflatable rubber "bellows" integrated into the suspension system.

And as if the Lexus NX wasn't extreme enough, this one has also been fitted with a tuning kit. It's from a company from Japan called Aimgain. You've probably never heard of them before, but they're pretty big over there and their "VIP EXE"special has made the Lexus SUV look like a hot hatch.

Their flashy kit includes a new ground effects spoiler, side skirts, inserts for the lower doors and a large diffuser. The most visible modification is the widebody part of the package, which consists of four square-shaped fender inserts, which increase the NX's appeal by 20mm on each side. They also offer a variety of custom wheel sets which you can check out in the gallery below, but for the video, the factory F Sport setup was kept.

How much would it cost to have your NX tuned like this? No pricing information is available from either of these Japanese companies, but we think that somewhere over $10,000 (€9,000) is a good bet.
