The world of drag racing never stops to amaze us. Shortly after discovering that old video of a C4 Corvette doing slides on the snow back in 2009, we stumbled upon this wondrous speed machine. It's a drag racing machine that competes in the modified class and it has the front end of the Lexus LF-LC.
You guys might remember the LF-LC as one of the most stunning concept cars ever created. Lexus built it just in time for the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, where this front-engined beauty stunned us all. Its most distinctive features are a very large spindle grille and 3 projectors per headlight, arranged in a triangle and inspired by a classic compact video camera.

Rumor has it the LF-LC will make it into production by 2017, but already, its distinctive styling is finding its way onto a speed machine that goes by the name "Zoian" and can do the quarter mile in 6.05 seconds at 235 miles per hour.

So what sort of car is this? Well, it's clearly an import by the looks of things, built by Titan Motorsports and the New Generation Team. Last year, the Zoian had a Toyota Camry front end (as in sticker) and did the quarter mile in 6.34 seconds at a speed of 229 miles per hour.

What's under the bonnet? The only engine in the world sturdy enough to take triple its stock output and make imports into racing legend. The 2JZ has been kitted out with all sorts of racing kit, including a turbo that looks like it came off a truck.

Is a 6 second car fast? Well that depends what you compare it to. Top fuel dragsters with supercharged V8 that run purely on ethanol do the quarter mile in about 3 seconds. On the other hand, a normal car like a BMW 335i or Camaro will do the quarter in about 12 ot 13 seconds.
