The French car manufacturer showed the highly anticipated facelift of the 508 at this year's Paris Motor Show. Just as before, the restyled Peugeot 508 comes in four-door sedan, five-door estate and a special RXH variant, with updated styling, reworked or new engines and added comfort and technology.
Starting with the oily bits, Peugeot mildly updated the engine lineup. Four turbo diesel mills are available: a 1.6-liter with 115 PS and coupled to an automated manual gearbox, as well as a 2-liter with either 140 PS or 163 PS on tap and a 2.2 with 200 PS.
In addition to the revised engines, Peugeot offers a newly-developed Euro 6 compliant 2-liter HDI turbo diesel available with either 150 PS or 180 PS. The less powerful variant emits just 109 g of CO2 / km when coupled to the standard six-speed stick shift. Petrol lovers can opt for a new Euro 6 compliant 1.6 THP with 165 horsepower and start&stop included.
Then there's the more powerful version of the mill, which is mated to a six-speed automatic and it's exclusive to the RXH body style, a rugged knock-off of the normal 508 SW (estate). The RXH kitted with the Hybrid4 all-wheel-drive electric-diesel drivetrain will emit just 104 grams of CO2 per kilometer driven.
Upper trim levels add amenities such as a head-up display, leather upholstery on the seats and door panels, smart keyless entry and an electronic parking brake. Go for the top-of-the-range Peugeot 508 RXH and you'll be offered as standard full-LED lighting at the front and at the rear, with the addition of power adjustable seats trimmed in a cool leathery combo.

Anything else the facelift can boast about with?
Nip and tuck jobs have been operated both inside and out, with every of the three body styles more visually appealing than the pre-facelift model. In terms of standard equipment, the entry-level 508 Active is offered with a touchscreen infotainment system that knows how to do satellite navigation, parking sensors, 18-inch alloys, dual-zone air con, folding mirrors and LED daytime running lights.Upper trim levels add amenities such as a head-up display, leather upholstery on the seats and door panels, smart keyless entry and an electronic parking brake.
