Picanto Chilli Spices Things Up in Kia's UK Range, the South Korean Way

Kia Picanto Originals programme might sound a lot like what adidas has to offer in their lineup, except it's for cars. Sure, the Picanto is not the biggest car out there, but Kia insists on boosting its personality.

Therefore, here we are, telling you about the Kia Picanto Chilli, a variant described by Kia as 'sporty'.

Two versions of the Kia Picanto Chilli will be available in three-door configuration, powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine good for 84 bhp and 120Nm (89 lb-ft) of torque.

The difference between the two versions is buyers can choose between a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic transmission, with the last looking promising for urban travelling.

Kia Picanto Chilli uses new front and rear bumpers as well as a twin exhaust tailpipe to differentiate itself from the regular Picanto. The Chilli models are finished in red, black or white paintwork while the finishing touch is provided by a set of redesigned five-barrel 15-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the wannabe sporty theme is continued through black faux leather seats and aluminium pedals with non-slip rubber pads. Also, the centre fascia, steering wheel bezel and gear shifter top are finished in Gloss Black.

Also, being a special edition, the Picanto Chilli will receive satellite navigation managed via a seven-inch touchscreen that includes a reversing camera.

Both versions are on sale starting today, so here's what you'll have to pay for your spicy Picanto Chilli urban ride. With the manual, the Picanto Chilli can be had for £11,495 (or $17,988, at current exchange rates), while the automatic version is available for £12,095 (or $18,927, at current exchange rates).
