The latest creation of Italian car design firm is the Pininfarina Fuoriserie Bike, a truly collectable inspired by the 1930s vintage style. "Fuoriserie Bike" stands for an exclusive personalized bicycle, which means every detali is closely created. The limited edition two-wheeler comes with a vintage design, inspired by the interiors of the Lancia Astura Bocca, an iconic model designed by the Italians in 1936.
Do not expect this bicycle to come with the latest off road enhancements. This beauty is all about grand design, sublime taste and subtle custom touches. Pininfarina claims to have taken inspiration from the iconic tailor-made cars of the 1930s to create an elegant and pure shape enriched by the combination of modern and classical materials.

Its frame is made out of chromed steel hand-made tubes welded by skilled artisans and adorned by a walnut briar-root coating. The heritage can also be seen in the handlebars and in the seat, which are dressed with the same unique leather used in the interiors of the Lancia Astura Bocca.

An electric engine is optional

For those of you who have some spare money to spend, the Italians also offer the choice of a small electric engine that optimizes the cyclist’s energy. A led lighting system based on a “brand-new” high performance lamp and a recharging system for smartphones are among its features.

The bike will be produced in a limited edition of 30 units, a symbolic gesture for the 1930s, in which Pininfarina was founded and the years which gave life to outstanding cars. Without the electric enhancement, the bicycle will cost you $7,500 (EUR6,000), but if you want to ride in style and comfort you’ll need to add another $3,758 (EUR3,000).

Like we said, this is not just a normal bicycle...
