Polo GTI Shows the Fastest Way to Decorate a Tree, the Hooligan Way

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney and the Volkswagen Polo GTI was decorating the tree while laying down a thick blanket of rubber. Wait! What?

That's right, just a day after announcing the new Polo GTI was coming to Britain, the local Vdub division decided to put the manual gearbox that's been added to the ultimate test. And so while mister mouse began stirring, the hot hatch put its rubber to use and became a decoration tool for the christmas tree.

As tire screeched and the smell of burned clutch permeated the atmosphere, all soon realized the little car had now grown. No longer did its 1.4-liter engine restrict the fun, as a new 1.8-liter turbo had been installed by Santa's clever helpers. A rewording clickety-clack sound came out of the exhaust, as the GTI worked feverishly to complete its tasks.
This video is great and it raises awareness of the 2015 Polo GTI model. However, we would have preferred if they used something more extreme, like the GRC Beetle or the Golf R400 concept car.

Available in dealerships next March, the Polo GTI will cost £18,850 OTR for the three door manual with a £630 premium for five door and £1,245 for the DSG gearbox.
