Even with all the daily-driving limitations that come with the extreme track-savvy setup of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the sheer idea of using this as a law enforcement vehicle makes us want to apply for the job.
Nevertheless, the GT3 RS you see here is not an actual police car. Instead, we are dealing with what could be a pace car that aims to make sure the thousands of horsepower present at the Rallye Germania are deployed in complete safety.

The even is question is a road rally taking place in Germany this weekend. The participants are driving from Dusseldorf to the Nurburgring.

We have to explain this is that kind of event where an unholy number of supercars and hypercars get together. From Koenigseggs to LaFerraris, they all meet and share their passion for burning high-octane fuel and rubber. Aventador Superveloce, Ferrari F40, Bugatti Veyron? Sure, they're all present. In fact, you can find a few pics (via Shmee150) from the event in the gallery below.

About the Ring Police team

As for the Ring Police, we are talking about a German team of aficionados who play the go-fast game at multiple levels. From racing in various championships to offering tuning and service to customers, these guys love being around cars all day.

This GT3 RS is expected to be testing a custom suspension setup - the team works with Porsche Supercup engineer Frank Funke to make sure all things are covered in a Zuffenhausen-worthy manner.

The team's members are no strangers to endurance racing. And given their experience with the GT3, they seem like just the right guys to make the most out of this RS.

The car has only been in their possesion for a few days now (check out the Lava Orange pics below). The adventure we have here is also an excellent opportunity to make up for all the waiting - when you order a car like this, each day that separates you from the delivery date is really hard to bare.
