Porsche Cayman GT4 Gets Dissected by Rally Legend Walter Rohrl

So, the Porsche Cayman GT4 is here but there's nothing new about that. What's new is that rally legend Walter Rohrl took Porsche's latest circuit toy for a spin on the racetrack to explain the car's four vital points.

If there's someone entitled to drive the new Porsche Cayman GT4, Walter Rohrl is definitely the name that will pop-up instantly, after the former German rally driver secured victories for Fiat, Opel, Lancia, Audi, BMW and Porsche. The man is now a Porsche works driver.

Rohrl starts his test drive by explaining that there are four things to take into account when it comes to the new Porsche GT4: the 3.8-liter engine developing 380 HP, the aero kit and its rear wing and front spoiler, the 911 GT3-sourced suspension and last but not least, the 20-inch semi-slick tires from Michelin.

He goes on by saying that these four components are the balanced core of the new GT4, the ideal machine for cruising country roads. The car is also praised for its handling and Rohrl argues that "for a normal driver, the steering is really easy and anyone would feel confortable behind the wheel".

However, don't let that fool you because the Cayman GT4 is keeping all its aggression for the race track, where it really counts. More than that, Porsche is offering Cayman GT4 clients the Track Position app in order to help amateur drivers, or race drivers for that matter, improve their performances and sharpen their skills on the track.

That being said, we'll leave you in the company of Walter Rohrl and the new Porsche Cayman GT4. In the meantime, we'll be trying to figure out a way of coming up with €85,779 or $84,600...
