Russian Police Brutally Bust Runaway Driver Following The 3-Second Rule

Thanks to the dash cam culture, we all know just how brutal the Russian police can be. Nevertheless, it seems the law enforcement in the country relies just as much on timing as it does on force.

This is all demonstrated in the clip below, which starts with a driver who thinks his VW Caddy is fast enough to outrun the Ladas of the officers. While the performance of the machines may be more or less comparable, it was obviously a disastrous choice.

Returning to the point we made in the intro, the Russian police seems to have a three-second rule. It doesn’t take more than that from the moment when the policeman is driving a patrol car coming the other way to an impact aimed at the runaway driver.

The action was obviously successful, but we haven’t even gotten to the most extreme part yet. It also takes three seconds for another cop to make an unexpected, foot-first entry through the driver’s side window.

We’d be willing to be the man behind the wheel of the commercial vehicle never knew what hit him. He obviously figured that out once the policeman opened the door though, with quite a painful lesson following.

Come to think of it, ever the chase itself was rather short, especially given how determined the drivers seemed to escape the police. The can’t-catch-me action took about one minute. As we said, the Russian policemen are precise people.
