Russian Road Rage Incidents Never Get Old, Especially when They're This Funny

As a general rule of thumb, it's better to avoid road-rage incidents because they can never end well. Expanding on this rule, it's wise to avoid any kind of incidents, on the road or otherwise, involving violence.

Avoiding an incident starts early, even before there was an incident to begin with. If a driver seems pissed at you for some reason, for example, there's no need to piss him even further. Instead, mind you own business or, if necessary, talk to him in a calm, relaxed manner.

Who am I kidding? We all know the theory, but it all flies out the window the second that guy starts swearing at us. "What did you say?" must be the number one line that shows the point of no return has been passed and you're now on your way towards a confrontation.

Depending on where you live, these can end with a very foul-mouthed exchange of words, with a few pushes, a quick brawl, a duel of blunt weapons or, in some extreme cases, gunfire. If this level is reached, it can only mean two things: one of the combatants is so pissed he doesn't mind going to jail or... it's all happening in Russia.

Watching the clip below, we have no idea what sparked the whole situation. What we do see is the Renault Clio stop in front of our guy and a young girl emerging from the car. She has the kind of fixed-stare you only see in Asian horror movies and she keeps starring throughout the clip. I swear, she's freakier than her idiot boyfriend.

The male part of that couple, however, is already out of the car when the filming starts. He the goes back to his small French hatchback and opens the driver's door. Like all normal people do, he seems to be carrying a small axe there, and so he starts flailing it around. Our guy backs off a little, so the lumberjack wannabe fakes throwing the axe towards the victim. Apparently, he can't bear to be parted with the instrument, and so he heads back to the car.

He opens the rear door and stops to ponder a little, as if the back seat was full of objects he could use to hurt or intimidate the other guy. He goes for a handgun which, judging by the way he shoots it - yes, he actually uses the gun - is his first time pulling the trigger. I guess we should be happy nobody seems to have gotten hurt. He throws one last look towards our guy seemingly saying "there, that'll teach you to mess with mentally challenged a-holes" and gets in the car. The creepy girl follows suite and they're off to carry on with their wonderful, fulfilled lives.

The moral of the story? Some people are downright crazy and it's usually not that easy to spot them until it's too late. So the best way to deal with traffic issues is to assume everybody's crazy and just mind your own business.
