As far as B-segment crossovers are concerned, granddaddy Nissan Juke is getting quite old now despite its recent facelift. With the new Fiat 500X and Jeep Renegade on the horizon, the two-wheel drive only Renault Captur is now boasting with a generously equipped top-of-the-range trim level.
Baptized Signature and priced from £17,495 OTR in the United Kingdom, the high specification model is built on the Dynamique S MediaNav, but adds some new bits and bobs as standard. Highlights include a rear parking camera, part-leather upholstery and the R-Link infotainment system with satellite navigation.

Already available to order, the Capture Signature is also boasting with chrome strips on the sides for a posh exterior look, more chrome on the boot lid, front grille and fog light bezels, as well as a two-tone finish and 17-inch Explore alloys with black inserts.

Aside from the part-leather upholstery, the cabin of the Signature also receives Signature door sill plates and bright red details on areas such as the audio speakers, air vents and the center console. Other mentionable bits and bobs come in the form of the Grip Xtend traction control system, automatic climate control, power side mirrors and distinctive LED daytime running lights.

If the base Renault Captur Signature Energy TCe 90 Stop & Start isn't enough to float your boat, you can upgrade to the Captur Signature TCe 120 Auto EDC (£19,695) or the dCi 90 Auto EDC (£19,895). These come with the seven-speed double-clutch automatic transmission one may find on the Renault Clio RS, but boast with great fuel economy: 52.3 UK mpg for the TCe petrol and 72.4 UK mpg for the dCi diesel.
