Today BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi are considered luxury brands in certain parts of the world but that doesn’t really make them real luxury brands, does it? Well, at least BMW owns probably the most luxurious car maker out there, Rolls-Royce.
There’s also another British manufacturer that works under BMW’s umbrella and that’s MINI. What would happen if the Germans suddenly decided that the two Brits should join forces? Definitely not a MINI Rolls-Royce, right?

Well, actually, that happened in the past, when a MINI Hardtop was prepared by Rolls-Royce and turned into the MINI Goodwood. It was a collaboration between the two brands that spawned 1,000 unique cars made for collectors only.

Even though it still looked like a MINI, most materials used were coming from the Rolls-Royce brand. Unique wheels were fitted to the little hardtop, while the interior was done in Cornsilk-Beige leather and decorated with lamb’s wool floor mats and a cashmere headliner. Plenty more unique features were added and most of the focus was on the interior.

How about one that has a different exterior as well?

The guys from Autoprojecoes went a little bit further and wanted to create a new car that borrowed even more from the Rolls-Royce range. They created the Rolls-Royce MINI as we like to call it.

It’s a small car that has the looks of a Roller and the matching interior as well. As you can see, the cabin was rather drastically changed but this time, receiving a Rolls-Royce steering wheel and a new center console decorated by a new gearshift knob. Everything feels more like a Rolls now instead of a MINI.

On the outside, though, the differences are huge. What was originally a hardtop is now apparently a Wraith in miniature. After fitting different headlights on the front fascia the guys also introduced the trademark Rolls-Royce grille in the picture as well as The Spirit of Ecstasy.

As a final touch, the door handles were moved on the A-Pillar, hinting at coach-style doors. Oh, and let’s not forget about the RR wheels.

It’s all looking rather good and we could actually imagine such a car becoming reality. Furthermore, we’re confident that a market for such a car exists out there, especially in big cities like London where space is limited but tycoons don’t really want to drive around in anything that’s less luxurious than a Rolls.
