Our spy photographers have just sent us these first few images of a heavily camouflaged vehicle moving around a Mercedes-Benz facility while wearing a full tarp over its silver body shell.
It looks like a teardrop single-volume car, a large one by the looks of thins, about the size of the S-Class, but taller. The body is completely blended in, with no hood, trunk or bulging fenders, sort of like the exact opposite of what a Mercedes usually looks like. The only familiar feature is a gaping grille with a single horizontal bar visible from under the camo.
Is this the MPV of the future? Maybe, if we get to live to about 2040. What's actually under the tarp is a new concept coming to the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Every year, they choose this venue to show their most outlandish concept ideas, since California is the home of some of the biggest design studios in the world. Notable debuts made in LA include the Vision Gran Turismo sportscar (shown not revealed), the Ener-G-Force SUV, the Silver Arrow and the Biome.
Considering the Ener-G-Force is believed to be a preview for the next G-Class and the Vision GT has clearly influenced the Mercedes-AMG GT, our mystery car could be considered the large MPV of our streamlined future. No door handles, no side mirrors, no pillars - this isn't a silver arrow any more, it's a silver bullet fired from a railgun!

Why space-savers?
As you can tell from the yellow lines, the wheels are space-savers like the ones you have in your trunk and use when you get a flat tire. This isn't a tell of Mercedes' play, but another elaborate ruse to cover every possible detail that we might see. By using skinny tires, the sneaky Germans want us to thing that they are working with an EV or ultra fuel-sipper, like the Volkswagen XL1.Considering the Ener-G-Force is believed to be a preview for the next G-Class and the Vision GT has clearly influenced the Mercedes-AMG GT, our mystery car could be considered the large MPV of our streamlined future.
