You might have heard about Panhard from learning about car suspensions as it’s a stabilizing rod providing lateral location to the axle. Well, you should also know Panhard was an automaker back in the day with the Dyna Z being the model we’ll be talking about here.
Panhard was known for its dedication to build small economical cars, with their Dyna Z featuring a lot of unusual engineering choices for the time. Power came from a 50 hp 851 cc flat-twin turning the front wheels wia a cable operated four-speed manual transmission.

The car weighted only 816 kg (1,800 lb) which gave it a fuel consumption of about 6.7 l/100 km (35 mpg) while the top speed was reached at 145 km/h (90 mph).

Since all these characteristics made for a pretty nice little city rambler, the automaker also did a Dyna Z 2-door pickup conversion at some point, model you can see here for sale in France.

The front section is exactly the same with the one of the passenger car, while at the back the car adopted a simple bed which also could have been covered. The result? Perfect car to deliver baguettes.

The owner wants to sell this rather well maintained Dyna Z pickup for €6,500 ($7,640), having done only around 13,500 km (8,390 mile). Definitely a cool odd little ride deserving some care and a cozy place in some retro collection.
