Two-Seater Carbon Fiber and Kevlar Hovercraft Is Summertime Madness

How about hitting the beach with a 4-stroke engine hovercraft that will storm the waves with up to 50 mph this summer? Even though you’ll most likely need to sell you precious 1995 Toyota Tacoma and save up a little to get one, this puppy might be the perfect water toy for the little extreme sports addict in you.

Created by Universal Hovercraft boat dealer based in Rockford, Illinois the company’s latest two-seat watercraft is probably what celebrities like Justin Bieber will be playing with this summer, so you’d better take a closer look if you want to remain in fashion (what?).

In fact, it’s not even a summer-only toy since the Renegade was designed as an all-season, all-terrain vehicle. Water, land, ice, snow, you name it, there’s nothing stopping you and your beautiful girlfriend from having a proper stroll.

The company wants us to imagine a 4-wheeler, jet ski & snowmobile all in one, but we say reverse and stick to the Hovercraft part. Sure, they are selling it like it was the best thing money can possibly buy, but that doesn’t mean it necessarily is.

Simple controls steer the rudders, elevators, and a finger trigger controls the throttle. As to handling the craft, according to its makers it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes get the grip of it.

Hovercraft says their new two-seat model is manufactured with high-performance carbon fiber and Kevlar. The power comes from a 4-stroke V-twin engine and aircraft style structure, which together make the craft a true water fun-fun.

Unfortunately we're not able to talk about cost, since they haven't announced any yet. Judging by the previous models though, we'd asign it to the premium category...
