Have you ever tried to remove the front apron on a Porsche 918 Spyder? No, we haven't done that either. In fact, very few people get to do it, simply because taking apart a hypercar is difficult enough, but when this is built by Porsche, you risk being attacked by engineers with supernatural powers.
Still, when an owner wants to install a professional radar detector (it's not that difficult to understand the reasons), somebody's got to do it. Well, thanks to the powers of the world wide web, we're all now able to witness the process.

The 918 Spyder in the footage below had to be gifted with a radar/laser system, which required a team of experts to... perform surgery on the exterior, as well as on the cabin of the 887 hp hybrid.

It all started with the front bumper, but the work quickly spread to the headlights, as well as to the carbon fiber underbody aero elements. Round the back, the engine cover was the first to come off, with the rest of the process already seeming natural after this.

Climbing aboard the Porsche, the team took apart the steering column and even fiddled with the pedal assembly. They even got to do a bit of "driving" in the process, as they had to... turn the car around inside the relatively tight workshop.

The Internet is not shy when it comes to providing more or less professional advice on how to avoid getting a ticket when you actually deserve one and the radar detector is obviously on top of that list. Let's just hope the driver of this Porsche doesn't put too much trust in his new electronic toy. Then again, with all the examples of the 918 Spyder now sold out, he might have an interesting topic for starting a conversation with an officer.

Warning: this puzzle is for budgets fortune and up.
