Taylor Swift may have recently been included in a top of the most influential women in the world, but it’s not like her PR efforts are allowing her to rest on laurels. For one thing, the American singer will appear on former Indianapolis 500 champion Tony Kanaan’s racecar this weekend.
The Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix will see Swift’s decal traveling at great speed and it’s all part of a deal that involves her label, Big Machine Records. Saturday will be some sort of Taylor Swift day in Motor City - while Kanaan will showcase the collaboration on his No 10 Chevrolet during the day, the artist will perform on Saturday night in the city.

Those of you who are following the celebrity world know the American singer is currently surfing on wave of success, and it appears the racing driver wants to borrow some of that

I’m hoping that some of Taylor’s luck we saw last weekend at the Billboard Music Awards [Swit took home no less than 8 trophies] will carry over with me into our doubleheader in Detroit,” Kanaan said.

Come to think of it, the driver could use a magic wand. He is now in the second season driving for Chip Ganassi Racing but hasn’t won any race in the current season. In fact, last weekend’s race saw him abandoning due to a crash.

This isn’t the first time Taylor Swift is featured in the motorsport world, and we’re referring to the No. 42 Sprint Cup that brought her to NASCAR here.
