Alright, smartphones and electric cars share some common features, but what happens when you use a Tesla Model S to destroy a brand-new Samsung Galaxy S6 for reviewing purposes?
We are pretty sure Elon Musk didn't create Tesla Motors and subsequently the Tesla Model S EV with the ultimate purpose of obliterating smartphones and other high-tech devices.
But because we live in the age of the internet and smashing things in creative ways is always entertaining to watch, a video showing a Tesla Model S abusing Samsung's latest flagship smartphone offers another angle on the (twisted) world we live in.
The video was posted on YouTube by Jailbreak - iOS 8 iCrackUriDevice (we know, not the most inspired username) and mainly shows a Galaxy S6 smartphone being run over by a Tesla Model S sedan.
That being said, let's look at the physics-related aspect of the video. Tesla Model S weighs 4,647 lb (2,107 kg) and has a 52/48 weight distribution ratio (52% of the weight sits on the rear axle while 48% is concentrated on the front wheels).
We're not going to bore you with math and physics calculations at this point, but we should add the Model S is moving at a speed of 14 mph (22.5 km/h) and the Galaxy S6 gets run over twice: first time with the front wheel and second time with the rear wheel.
Oh, and because the smartphone took every hit with a heroic attitude, the reviewer ran it one more time, this time going back and forward a couple of time over the phone's display.
You'll be surprised of the aftermath, but you can watch everything for yourself in the video below. Also, we hope this is the last time a Tesla Model S plays the smartphone Terminator role.
