We understand why all those powerful sedans and sportscars out there are picking on the Tesla Model S with the result often being a drag race won by the latter, but how about a more organized setup?
You could argue Tesla Model S is the godfather of all performance sedans out there, but that didn't stop owners with a massive ego from challenging the Model S even though their gas guzzlers didn't stand a chance from the very beginning.

I mean, in P85D guise, the Model S can blast from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds thanks to its dual electric motors each powering one of the car's front and rear axles. Also, the sedan has 691 bhp and 931 Nm (687 lb-ft) of instant torque at its disposal.

But Auto Express though, for some reason, the Model S should face the Porsche Panamera S in a drag race. Why? We don't know for sure, but here are the Porche's credentials: it needs 3.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) thanks to a 4.8-liter old school twin-turbo V8 churning out for 562 bhp and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque.

Add Porsche's seven-speed PDK automatic transmission into the mix, along with an all-wheel drive system, and we could be looking at a serious contender for the Tesla Model S.

So, are you ready to find out which one of the two cars is faster? Of course you do, that's why we won't keep you reading. Instead, head below for the video to find out how this head-to-head duel ends.
