It took about three weeks for the 21-year old Russian student to put her opulent Mercedes CLS 350 covered in a million Swarovski Crystals on eBay. Reports around the globe made the young diva quite famous, but it would seem it was not something meant to last. What is even more interesting is whether she’ll donate the money to charity, as she initially stated.
Last month, the streets of London were filled with flashlights and paparazzi as the shiny Mercedes was showing off. Owned by 21-year old Russian student Daria Radionova, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 covered in Swarovski crystals is now three days away from being bought by yet another extravagant driver.

It turns out being famous was not that interesting, considering the young diva decided to put her luxury ride on eBay. “Perfect condition. Handcraft, Encrusted with 1 Million crystals”, the car is described in the announcement. The 4-door coupe is at its third owner and has racked up 57,000 mileage.

Priced at $248,023 (£154,100) the Mercedes already has 26 bids, which is quite good considering what the Russian student initially payed for it. We did already tell you guys how everything went on with the car. According to its owner, she spent $32,000 on crystals and further $24,000 to fly her “team” over from Russia to affix the shiny gems.

Money goes to charity, more or less

Radionova also stated she’ll donate part of the money she gets out of selling the car, which she actually is doing. Well, more or less. Just 10% of the final sale price will support Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home, which is a charity that takes care of stray and unwanted dogs.

We don’t know what you think, but this whole story kind of looks like a big prank the Russian student only did so she could sell the car at a higher price... if it really is about that, it’s definitely working.
