Who said The Dubai Police is the only Department out there to afford the coolest rides on the market? Others can too. Take the San Francisco Police Department who brought their amphibious vehicles to McCovery Cove over the weekend. Naturally, the James Bond worthy vehicle made quite the impression.
One of the officers, who was taking care the Giants fans remained safe while watching the games Saturday and Sunday, did quite the appearance when he showed up on a Quadski. Apparently, the rather expensive amphibious vehicle is one of three, and they were all a gift from Salesforce chief Marc Benioff.

The founder of the cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, California personally took delivery of his donation last year in October. Then, Benioff invited San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White, along with Police Chief Greg Suhr, and representatives of the National Park Service to test out the $40,000-plus Quadskis.

Therefore, the situation was slightly different in the Giants’ match the other day, but that doesn’t mean the SFPD can’t brag about having top-notch vehicles just like others do. As for the amphibious ride, we have to admit it’s quite a surprise people still haven’t grown fond of them, even though they first appeared on the market almost three years ago.

Sure, they come in all sorts of shapes and figures, but the stock model is a 4-stroke, amphiquad that converts to a personal watercraft. It features a top speed of 45 mph (72 km/h) on both land and water, thanks to its proprietary marine jet propulsion system. It takes the push of a button and about five seconds for the vehicle’s transition, which clearly makes it a hell of a ride, whether on land or in water.
