Do you think your boss is super-annoying and full of himself? Does he make you do overtime for his mistakes and pretend that all your good ideas were actually his? You probably don't have it as bad as the guys in HBO's hit comedy Silicon Valley.
In the modern gold rush of Silicon Valley, the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling it – that's what this show is all about. Weird introverted geniuses combined with a crazy boss who blurts out nonsense are what made this show successful.
We're talking about Russ, the guy who made this line famous: "Let me ask you a question, Richard… have you ever had beef? No, You haven't."
Russ claims to be the only rich guy in Silicon Valley that has the cojones to drive something other than a Toyota Prius. In one episode, he shows off his McLaren 650S Spider, which he says is painted in a special color (actually, it's just Tarocco Orange) only made for him.
“They don’t make it in this color. They did it just for me,” he says.
If you have never seen somebody pretend to put a 650S into gear (it's automatic and has buttons for drive and reverse), you need to watch this show.
But the scene we want to show you today is far newer and we think it's Epic with a capital "E"! Russ throws a temper tantrum because the doors on his older model Maserati Quattroporte just aren't cool enough. Yeah, we get it – they don't open up like on the Mercedes SLS or do the scissor action like a Lamborghini.
Heaven forbid, people might think he's just a regular person, not a billionaire with an ego the size of Texas. We think Russ is the perfect guy to buy a BMW i8 since it's both flashy and a hybrid.
