Ladies and gentlemen, we are in a bit of dilemma. We don’t know what to believe here - either Opel has joined forces with the Peugeot Citroen Alliance (PSA) for its latest model, the Karl, or the paper that has published the article above got things a little mixed up.
We’re not quite sure which paper this comes from, with the only visible detail being the British roots of the publication. Still, the mistake of attaching the wrong image, namely one of the Citroen C4 Cactus, to an article on the Opel Karl has turned the whole deal into a rather amusing, parody-like story.
Even without the error, it’s still mildly amusing to picture the second paragraph of the article article being translated into reality - “From summer of 2015, customers will be able to purchase a 3.68-metre long, attractive five-door car with space for up to five people.”
Kudos to these guys for labeling a Spark (Chevrolet is developing the next-gen Spark on the same platform and it will be out next year) under attractive. We’re picturing a handsome Karl loaded with five people right now and we have to admit we’re smiling, even though it might be for the wrong reasons.
However, the icing on the cake might be represented by the last paragraph visible in the photo. Read it and you’ll learn just how much of an ignorant you’ve been for not paying attention to the Karl’s five-speed manual.
