When you see these people using art to colorfully make a car famous the first thing you can think of are the days when you’d simply walk on the street, spot a car and decide to buy it. But no, everything is quite abstract and complex nowadays. It’s definitely the case with this Corvette Stingray who became a canvas for a special cause. The result, however, is not that bad.
We’re not sure if you heard about GM’s little art adventure, which is why we’re here to tell you all about it. Long story short we’re looking at a 2014 Corvette Stingray turned into an art car for a noble purpose. And what better model to opt for if not the one that was already acclaimed among car enthusiast for its beautiful and trend-setting design.
Three GM Design employees - Casey Swanseger, 30, Tyler Mars, 28 and Haneif Katebi, 25 - used paint and brush on a 2014 Stingray wrapped in white, bringing to life Detroit’s “creative corridor” made up of industries that merge art, technology and business.
Weird or not, the fundraiser managed to generate nearly $400,000, which is quite good considering the whole thing could be washed away and turned to its initial status.
Or maybe they will sell it as an art car at an auction for yet another charity. Either way, good job guys!

Almost $400,000 were raised
The deed was done to help the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) Gala Fundraiser. Acrylic, water-soluble paints were used to create a contemporary art design on the white vinyl-wrapped sportscar, all set to music played by a disc jockey.
