How do you know when you are looking at something that's totally awesome and original? When Google has no idea what it is. Gazing upon this custom Toyota Prius, it feels like we are the Chuck Yeager of the Internet, the first to step into a bold new world of custom JDM parts.
This Prius was filmed for the first time at the beginning of August during the Custom Bike, Motorcycle and Auto Show 2015, a gathering of Japan's weirdest creations. Almost nothing from the base hybrid vehicle has been left intact.

We'll start by mentioning the Japanese tuner 170 Motoring doesn't have a dedicated website and Facebook page, or at least none that Google can find. That suggests we're dealing with a small shop, so the custom kit for the Prius may not be theirs.

We'll begin our examination from the front, noticing how a new hood with four large heat vents sits on top of the 1.8-liter fuel-sipping engine. The front bumper is total overkill, a melange of creases, small LEDs and blades that culminate with a huge splitter.

The profile of the hybrid seems to feature a military theme, as a line of rivets has been added, just below the window line. It's augmented by the functional rivets that hold the Rocket Bunny kit in place.

This aggressive set of fender flares bolts directly to the factory wings and makes room for deep-dish copper colored alloy wheels. If the clearances seem too small, that's because air suspension was used to lower the Prius closer to the ground.

The interior appears to have a royal theme. Red leather and velvet covers the dash while the door cards have been covered in a special print fabric. Finally, we come to the rear, where we notice the greenhouse of the Prius has been wrapped in black leather vinyl. A large wing and diffuser give this hybrid aerodynamic credentials it doesn't deserve or need.
