Ultra-Low Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R Looks... Intraterrestrial

When we first came across the Nissan GT-R in the clip below, we felt there was something about the custom supercar that kept us from applying the usual labels of the aftermarket world. Nevertheless, staring at it for a little longer made us realize what this wide body contraption should be labeled as.
While giving supercars, in standard or modified guise, the extraterrestrial tag has become one of the most overused metaphors in the business, this Liberty Walk-fitted Godzilla seems to be just the opposite of that, namely an... intraterrestrial.

No, we haven’t taken the wrong pill, think about it for a moment. With the GT-R using an air suspension and being as close to the ground as possible, this would make for a perfect mole-supercar being driven through the tight highways underneath the surface of the Earth.

Then there are the styling cues of the Liberty Walk wide body kit, which seem to be just right for what we expect to be called dirtodynamics - the shape seems appropriate for the machine to be able to push away any dirt that falls in its path.

Even the soundtrack seems fitting for the job. With such a deep growl, this GT-R could probably be heard coming from miles away when driven inside tunnels. Then again, we expect intraterrestrials to have strict decibel-related regulations for obvious safety reasons, so perhaps that exhaust needs one or two closed valves.

Returning to more Earthly matters, we’ll explain the Nissan GT-R you see here was displayed at a supercar event in Malaysia. This vehicle mixes all sorts of Asian car culture aspects, since we’re talking about a Japanese vehicle wearing a Japanese body kit and using an exhaust system built by a Taiwan-based aftermarket developer. However, we have to explain Liberty Walk kits have become hugely popular in the US over the last few years, so seeing one during your commute shouldn't come as a surprise.
