When it comes to racing simulators, we’d normally recommend you to play Gran Turismo and turn all the assists off. Still, if the only motorsport you like involves single-seater screaming beasts and those are not rolling on two wheels, then F1 2014 is what you should save money for.
Videogame developer Codemasters today released a new gameplay video for their upcoming F1 2014 title in the series, showing how the game captures all the action of this year’s incredible season as it draws towards one of its most exciting conclusions in years.
F1 2014 is said to be the only official Formula 1 video game to reflect all of the changes in this year’s season and it also brags about being the most accessible game in the series so far.
Still not impressed?
Well, the game will attract players with a new driver evaluation system that will suggest game settings to suit each person’s ability, along with a re-graded difficulty settings, including a new Very Easy mode.
The Very Easy mode will allow newbies to race competitively without spending time on practice and qualifying sessions. It also grants them the ability to play without following the 2014 Grand Prix calendar.
But that’s probably not the case with your veteran skills. For you, the developers still left and enhanced the possibility to simulate full seasons and fine tune cars, turn off driving aids as well as shift the game into the hardest setting possible.
All these running on a very nice graphic engine and a capable physics simulator as you’ll see bellow. Note how nice the water looks when it hits the helmet in first-person view.
F1 2014 will be available on October 17th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC, following to be offered next year for the Xbox One and PlayStation4 consoles.
