VSpirit Motorworks is working on a custom Ducati Monster project, and the big goal is to have it ready for the Paris Motorcycle Show in early December, 2015. If you thought they'd go for the basic 796 Monster, you'd most likely be pleased to learn that VSpirit Motorworks aims much higher.
The donor bike that is supposed to be transformed into a stunning naked streetfighter concept is no other than the all-new, top-of-the-line Monster 1200S. If anything, simply relying on this machine looks like half the job is done, as the big Monster is nothing short of an awesome machine by itself, in standard trim.
The Monster is the bike family that has got Ducati up and running for quite a long time now. Popular and, at the same time, the most affordable Ducati machines before the new Scrambler was released, the Monsters are among the iconic motorcycles anyone would recognize.
VSpirit Motorworks knows this, too, but there's more than fame to have them decide to build on an 1200S. For starters, the Monster 1200S is a big, powerful machine with a great road stance. It provides plenty to work on, while retaining its sporty looks, and is fairly easy to "bend" towards various directions.
However, the sketch VSpirit Motorworks revealed recently represents a radical turn from the altogether well-behaved lines of the Monster 1200S. The project will be endowed with an evil front end comprising dual stacked headlights, and much edgier tail section, and a completely reworked tank.
Radiator shrouds extend from the upper area of the fuel tank and protrude down to almost half the height of the bike, partially hiding the characteristic trellis frame.
VSpirit Motorworks plans to change the forks with higher-performance ones, and replace the stock handlebars with low clip-ons that will add more aggressiveness to the riding position.
A lot of parts need to be designed and prototyped, so your help is needed to fund VSpirit Motorworks' Ducati Monster 1200S development. The builders want to have the bike ready by December, but they are also eyeing being able to craft parts to be sold as a modding kit for the Monster 1200S fans who want to take a walk on the wild side.
