Get your day planner and checkbook ready. Lamborghini has announced the schedule for its 2016 Esperienza and Accademia track driving courses, on four continents.
The season will kick off with the Winter Accademia in Livigno, Italy. In late February, participants will get the chance to learn how to drive on ice. How to drive fast, of course. The program then moves to Aspen, Colorado.

The Track Accademia starts at Phillip Island, Australia and Imola, Italy. Afterward, courses will be scheduled to coincide with some of the European rounds of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series. Participants will visit, among others, the Nurburgring track in Germany and the Valencia track in Spain. Laguna Seca hosts the US Accademia events, with Las Vegas providing the venue for Pilota Lamborghini.

The former is the most advanced stage of the course and is aimed at people who want to become racing drivers. The Pilota Lamborghini competitive program simulates a real race weekend while the rest of the Accademia events offer intensive or advanced courses. The experience is meant to give participants their first taste of competitive driving, through multiple training sessions.

There are 24 spots available for the intensive course and 20 for the advanced, for each track day. Overall, around 2,000 people are expected to register. Drivers are divided intro groups and go through exercises including slaloms, acceleration, braking and oversteering, at the wheel of a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 or a Huracan.

The 2016 Lamborghini Esperienza calendar has more than 20 dates scheduled at some of the most prestigious circuits in Europe, the US, Asia, and Australia. For the Imola Esperienza, activities include a visit to the Lamborghini factory and museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, as well as the track driving.

The Esperienza and Accademia courses are part of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse program. Drivers from the Young Drivers and GT3 Junior Program serve as instructors at the Esperienza and Accademia events.
