The guys over at Funny or Die have recently released a video worth all the money, or the views for that matter. No, it’s not a remake of the famous TV series, but could quite make for a funny one. The faux stars NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt Jr. putting on David Hasselhoff’s leather jacket and taking the role as Knight Rider.
The 2008 NBC remake of the famous Knight Rider series received both good and bad critics and it only lasted for one season, but maybe a comedy version of the show would not sound that bad. As far as we can tell, a high-end crime fighting car driven by a funny hero would work as good as the original '80s Knight Rider.
And the new Funny or Die video is all about that. Earnhardt is driving a black Camaro instead of the Pontiac Firebird, and KITT has now a woman’s voice, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still save the day. Or can't they?
Only problem is, the she-KITT is pretty emotional, testy and not quite the risk taker. There is one thing the female artificially intelligent technology is good at, which is getting to it’s driver nerve.
Whether it ruins Dale’s date or threatens him to call his mother because of his fast food launch, the female KITT is definitely one hack of a buzz killer. But we’ll leave you guys enjoy the video yourself.
