Lewis Hamilton may be burning rubber like few out there in the F1 biz do, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a younger petrolhead hiding somewhere in there. How do we know? Because, now and then, we find him fooling around with these amateur rides just for the sake of pure, classic fun.
Tabloids may be busy discussing his constant style evolution - he just got cornrows - but that’s not quite what we’re looking after whenever we post a thing about the champ. The 2008 and 2014 Formula One World Champion is excellent at one thing: driving. They say the only way to be that could at something is if you actually love what you’re doing. And mind you, he adores driving.

It’s only when time is of no importance, when what you’re doing brings you joy and comfort, it’s only then when you become successful. That is why at 30, Hamilton is one of the people out there everybody stands up to. Even when he’s off the Formula One track, the British champ still is driving something. This time it’s a Dune Buggy, but judging by the small clip Hamilton just posted, it’s a powerful off-roader.

There’s now way we can tell how fast he drove the Buggy here, but we’re pretty sure it was quick enough. After all, these puppies do have something in common with the F1 industry, considering the modifications usually attempt to increase the power-to-weight ratio by either lightening the vehicle or increasing engine power. Most commonly, they do both. We can tell you this much, driving one of these devils could quite often offer a lot more joy than eve some sportscars currently on the market.
