Ever since Uber was launched, the business of driving people around started changing. Today we have more than one type of Uber drivers out there part of different subsidiaries. For example, we have Uber Black, Uber X, Uber Taxi, Uber SUV or even Uber Lux if you want to ride in luxurious cars driven by professionals dressed in suits.
That last subsidiary is now offering a bit more exclusivity to its customers in Singapore. They just announced that if you’re willing to pay (and pay a lot by the way) you can now ride around the Asian city-state in a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder or a Maserati GranTurismo.

Now, if you ever applied to become a Uber driver you might be aware of the fact that they usually ask for cars that have at least four doors and four seats. That doesn’t get in the way of offering chauffeur services in a Gallardo though, apparently. We’re guessing that in this case, an exception is more than viable.

The bad part is that you’ll be the only one in the car excepting the driver which, in turn, means that you’ll get to enjoy this ride all by yourself which isn’t exactly all that fun. It’s a lot better when you have at least another friend with you.

The prices for these rides are also quite hefty. A ride in the Maserati costs 165 Singapore dollars which translates into roughly $120. That’s for the first 15 minutes after which you’ll have to pay 7 Singapore dollars for each additional minute. That’s around $5 per minute.

Some simple math will tell you that if you want to spend an hour aboard a Maserati GranTurismo you’ll have to pay $345. Ouch! The Lamborghini is even more expensive, the first 15 minutes costing $146 or 200 Singapore dollars. The additional minutes have the same rate.
