1,500 HP Mercedes GL-Class SUV Teased by Dartz

If there’s one company out there known for creating crazy Mercedes-Benz cars, that’s Dartz. The guys are widely recognized for their expensive and obscenely luxurious models that gather huge crowds around them wherever they’re spotted.

In the past, they’ve been known for making some rather weird choices, especially when it came to the cabins. For instance, they’re the ones that created the $1.5 million Prombron Monaco Red Diamond Edition. Doesn’t ring a bell? That’s probably because you never googled ‘whale penis leather interior’.

That’s right, that car had the interior done in leather that came off one or more whales’ penises. Apart from that it also featured diamonds and stuff that Russian tycoons would generally be interested in. Got the picture?

Now, they’re teasing a new creation that’s based on Mercedes-Benz’s current GL-Class. According to their info, it’s going to be called the Black Shark, just like a Russian attack helicopter.

What makes them similar, you ask? Well... Nothing much but the Latvian company will release the full info on October 19, when the a Russian infantry division that has the same name (quite a coincidence, right?) will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Even so, a couple of vital pieces on information were already leaked and one of them says that the car will have 1,500 HP at its disposal coming from a Mercedes-Benz V8 or V12 plant. Furthermore, the customers will get two Vertu luxury smartphones created especially for this car that will allow them to access exclusive features such as concierge services or booking private plane tickets.

Since this is a Dartz after all, it will also have bulletproofing and electrochromic windows. Don’t know what that is? It’s that tech bit that makes your car’s windows opaque if you want them to. Rather interesting to have on such a car.

Other features will include an electrified exterior that will keep beggars away and land-mine resistance. Basically, you’re buying a luxurious tank! Can’t wait to see the price tag for this thing though, as Dartz models have been known to cost in the millions.
