Especially when it comes to discussing half-mile events, we usually end up mentioning Lamborghini Gallardos and Nissan GT-Rs. Nevertheless, the Toyota Supra is also a name that likes to make it to the podium.
And while we are here to see what happens when a top-end Supra meets a highly modified Gallardo, we have to explain the owners of these cars didn't want to wait for an organised event, so they took it to the streets.

When it comes to the Lamborghini, we're talking about a 2011 Gallardo Superleggera that had gained a twin turbo setup from Dallas Performance. This machine now has 1,700 hp or even more than that.

As for the Supra, its key racing component is a Powerglide tranny that's perfect for such shenanigans. However, the demonic setup for its 2JZ heart isn't something to go by. After all, it does allow the Toyota to deliver 1,500 hp.

And since we're talking about machines from the racing world here, we have to explain the output figures mentioned above represent the power at the wheels.

The intense racing action

The two battled it out in the darkness, but when it comes to such races, you can never trust a hp difference, not even one that seems as meaty as this. And, as you can expect, not everybody is honest when reporting the output value to the guys filming the races.

As it usually happens in such cases, the two engaged in rolling start races. The Supra didn't just get ahead of the Lambo, it humiliated it. Sure, the Toyota does start disintegrating during one of the runs, but when you're playing at this level, you can expect things like this to happen.

Still, we'd like to see this part battling out on an airfield.
