When it comes to old offroaders, just watching their scarred bodies demands a lot of respect and most petrolheads get that.

We include old Land Rover Defenders in this category, but we're here to talk about the Land Cruiser. Namely, a 1969 Land Cruiser FJ55 Wagon available for sale on Craigslist.

So, are you looking for a good ol' reliable SUV that will have no problem in getting dirty outside the asphalt? Well, this one might be for you, provided you love old school off-roaders.

The 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 Wagon you see in the picture above is located in California, but there's more to it than just the sunny location. The 2,000-kg road elephant comes with a dual-tone painted exterior, Frankenstein turn signals, and rear power window.

According to the ad, the 3-speed, column shift manual gearbox and the inline-six engine are original, but there aren't additional photos of what lies underneath the metal sheets.

If that is true, the car should be able to deliver an excellent amount of low-end torque to satisfy camping and off-roading desires, although we wouldn't take it very often on the highway. The ad also mentions 'black original plates', 'good tires', an 'electric and crank starter' plus 'good paint and interior'.

It surely looks vintage, and we're happy to see a classic being kept in such good shape. If someone decides to buy it, we hope they'll keep it in the same almost mint condition as the current owner. However, the price tag set by the owner is $10,500 or best offer.
