While we may have gotten a bit carried away with the final part of the title above, that's the way we feel - tons of oddities can always be found around the Craigslist corner and yet the one we want to discuss today is not your average nausea-inducing kit car.
In fact, we're dealing with a strong piece of America here, albeit one that challenges the norms. The starting point for this oil-burning muscle machine was a 1970 Chevy Nova, but the V8 under the hood is long gone.

Instead, this Nova is animated by a Cummins diesel. We're talking about a 3.9-liter 4BT unit packing a T-3 Turbo, and while we don't know the output, the torque is definitely strong with this one.

How else would you explain the presence of a Chevy dually setup at the rear? While the rims and tires come from a "late model Chevy dually," the short axles are a custom job. As for what sits in between these bits and the engine, we're talking about a Turbo 400 automatic tranny, a 14-bolt Chevy rear end with a 410 gear ratio.

While the rear suspension setup involves ladder bars and coilovers, up front we have the Nova's standard suspension. Those of you wondering about the 8-lug conversion should know the car uses wheel adapters.

As oily as the setup sounds, we have to admit the machine is built in a rugged manner, one that shows in terms of the exterior treats. Basically, we've got a mix of the classic muscle look and heavy duty elements that make us think of Australia's endless road trains. Oh and let's not forget those custom side exhausts.

Now, before you get to HD dreaming, you should know the seller is asking $24,000 for this Nova, but he's prepared to consider boat or classic car trades.
