The Porsche 911 has always had its distinct soundtracks regardless of the variations brought by the type of motor or induction form. We now want to give you a 997-generation Porsche 911 Turbo that has gone deep down the tuning rabbit hole, ending up with a demonic Boxer engine soundtrack in the process.
This Zuffenhausen machine, which has been to the gym in the US, sounds like its horizontally-opposed pistons are willing to devour any four-wheeled creature around it. And as you've probably guessed by now, this is the kind of machine you can hear from a mile away.

What about the motivation? How much horsepower does this Porscha make?

We too want to find out the exact output of this Neunelfer, but this is one of those builds whose owner simply won't talk numbers. The only thing the man was willing to reveal is that we're dealing with a Porsche that churns out over 1,000 ponies.

Nevertheless, since the 911 has gone roll racing, we can give you a few clues on its muscle. For instance, the Porsche was able to trample over a 1,100 hp GT-R - you didn't expect the now-classic rivalry to be missing, did you?

Then again, the 997 got walked by a 1,300 whp Lexus IS. We have to admit the margin one can calculate by mixing the two clues above is a rather large one, but this is what we can rely on.

As it happens with Porsche 911s, which double or triple their factory output, the rear-engined setup means these beasts are always ready to pull small wheelies, despite the fact that they pack all-wheel-drive. But can you hold that against them?

The answer has to be a negative one, given the level of excitement these 911s deliver. And we're not just referring to the feelings experienced by their owners here.
