The Lamborghini Huracan is fierce enough to almost keep up with an Aventador in a straight line, so it’s difficult to complain about its sheer grunt. Then again, when you are Underground Racing and fit supercars with twin turbo systems for a living, doing this is mandatory.
Fortunately, the US aftermarket developer decided to come up with an alternative form of complaining, as it gifted one these V10 Raging Bulls with a pair of turbines.

Dubbed UR 2, the manic Huracan debuted in june, packing over 2,000 hp. Remember, we are talking about the power at the wheels here. Having over three times the level of oomph Sant’Agata Bolognese intended, this Lambo can devour pretty much any street-legal competitor out there. Or can it?

When the UR 2 made its debut at the Texas Invitational, there was one competitor who struggled and finally managed to steal a bit of its show. We are talking about the Alpha Omega Nissan GT-R, which raced the twin-turbo Lambo and won, albeit by a small margin.

Keep in mind that we are dealing with a car that’s well into its development cycle, while the Lamborghini has barely started stretching its forced-fed legs.

With its new 4-liter billet block, AMS Performance’ Alpha Omega currently holds the record for the world’s fastest GT-R, with a 7,485s quarter mile pass.

However, the Underground Racing Huracan is now training to beat that time. And with a new Texas Invitation event coming soon, the Lamborghini has recently showed up at the Racewarz event held at Pocono Raceway.

Sure, Underground Racing didn’t mention the Alpha Omega, but their target is obvious, and we need to look no further than their post-races statement for that.

Something we learned at this event was using street tires on the super smooth surface at Pocono Raceway doesn’t work well. Next time we will be on Drag Radials like all the fastest GTRs were using,” the tuner said.
