If you’re at all interested in the 6 Series range, then you already know that BMW launched a facelift of the current model not too long ago. Well, the updated versions have made their world debut in the flesh at the Detroit Auto Show and they were classier than expected.
Even though both the Convertible and the Gran Coupe were wearing the M Sport package, they displayed elegance more than sportiness and I’m guessing that’s what BMW went for with this facelift.

Acknowledging that the cars are possibly too heavy for sporty capabilities, the designers decided to give the LCI models a look that stands out with grace. Therefore, allow us to guide you through the changes.

The tour will be very short as the facelifted versions are not extremely different compared to the previous guises. Basically, only the headlight design changed and more stock kit was included in the bundle.

The red 650i Convertible showcased Nappa leather along with the new wheels designed for the facelift models. Under the bonnet, the engine is the same N63Tu making 450 HP and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque out of 4.4-liters of twin turbocharged V8 greatness.

Full Merino Leather dominates the atmosphere in Amaro Brown coupled with a BMW Individual wood inlay steering wheel and White Ash Gran wood trims all around. Another interesting detail we spotted is the Bang&Olufsen sound system.

Now, the price tag might be an issue as the 650i Gran Coupe starts at $92,600 and the Individual options will get you higher than $100,000 in no time. But standing next to it, it’s hard to say no...
