That tiny dribble of money will get you a rather complete car if you don’t need the space of a C-segment hatchback or even more than that. By the way, did you know the 2015 i20 boasts with the best rear legroom and boot capacity (326 liters) in its class? As I’m sure you know, those two are most important for customers after fuel economy.

Those £10,695 mentioned above will buy you the base Hyundai i20 S, but don’t dare think for a moment this entry-level configuration is spartan. Hyundai is well known for its impressive list of standard kit and the i20 lives up to expectations. ESC, bulb type daytime running lights, electric front windows and heated mirrors, RDS radio with USB and AUX and a 1.2-liter 75 PS petrol mill are the highlights of the S trim level.

If you want turbo diesel power, then the 1.1 75 PS CRDi can be equipped to the S Air, which is £11,445

Step up to the £12,725 to £14,725 SE model and you gain 16-inch alloys, Bluetooth, cruise control with speed limiter, fog lights, Lane Departure Warning, rear electric windows and reversing sensors. If you want the best 2015 i20 available, then you might want to know what the Premium SE has to offer. This trim comes with heated steering wheel and front seats, sat nav and a panoramic glass sunroof.

Those are just the cream of the crop, which also comprises of front parking sensors, climate control, a smartphone docking station, automatic headlights and wipers, as well as cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights. Wanna guess how much the top-spec 1.4 CRDi 90 PS turbo diesel costs? That would be £16,725, which is not bad if you consider how much you get for the money.
