Enough reading and scrolling through photo galleries, says Audi, after releasing the first video showing the new R8 V10 Plus supercar in action. P.S.: You can also hear the V10 FSI engine singing.
The internet witnessed another supercar launch yesterday, as the 2016 Audi R8 was officially revealed right before its scheduled debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. We also found out that Audi will offer the new R8 in two versions - a milder one with 540 HP and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque and a stingy one carrying 610 HP and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque, called the R8 V10 Plus.

This particular version is the central point in Audi’s latest video, which shows the Ingolstadt supercar having some fun around the track, clearing its throat in the process and giving us that full-toned sound, courtesy of its 5.2-liter powerhouse.

The new R8 sure looks and sounds promising, even considering that after its online appearance, petrolheads were kind of split into two sides, either criticizing or praising Audi’s design approach. But don’t let that ruin your day, design is exposed to a lot of subjectivity so we won’t dwell on that for the time being.

Of course, there’s that V10 sound again which to be honest, is bound to cause temporary blindness. That means most of us won’t even care about the R8’s looks, as long as Mr. DJ-under-the-hood does his job and keeps the music playing out loud. Hell, the car even looks better than in the pictures after watching the video two or three times.

No more wasting your time, here’s the video, make sure you click that play button and enjoy:
