The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor-derived 10-speed automatic is still a no-show for the S550 Mustang. There’s been much rumor regarding that tranny arriving on the Mustang, but we should better wait for an official report from Ford before turning to wishful thinking.
Regarding the 2016 Ford Mustang, we already know that the ordering books open on May 11 and that Ford SYNC III infotainment is probably the biggest update to look forward to. But thanks to drbrian722 of Mustang6G, now we also got acquainted with the colors brochure of the revised FoMoCo pony.

If you take a long look at the third picture in the gallery below, you’ll find that the following hues can be had for the 2016 Mustang:

- Shadow Black, Competition Orange, Triple Yellow Tri-coat, Guard, Deep Impact Blue, Magnetic, Race Red, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Ingot Silver and Oxford White.

What does all of that mean?

Apparently, Shadow Black is the new Black, LOL! Not much has changed over the 2015 model year and, disappointingly for fans of the ‘Stang, there’s no Grabber Blue in that list.

Another change that will be brought with the 2016 Mustang is that the 50th Anniversary model and the 50th Appearance Package will be phased out, together with their Kona Blue and Wimbledon White hues.

In S550-related news, you may want to know that the 5.2-liter Voodoo V8-powered 2016 Shelby GT350 Mustang and the R-ified variant will be ultra-rare muscle cars. For the first model year, the Blue Oval will reportedly manufacture 5,000 units of the GT350 and only 500 examples of the GT350R.
