The 2015 Dodge Challenger family is now complete, with the arrival of the Drag Pak strip machine now offering Mopar enthusiasts and drag racing aficionados an out-of-the-box solution.
The Mopar machine debuted with quite a bang and by that we mean a burnout turned almost-spin. As you’ll be able to see in the clip below, the Mopar guy behind the wheel lights up those beefy Hoosiers, but the rear diff black magic went wrong, sending the car sideways and very close to a Mopar tent nearby.

Fortunately, the driver managed to spare the camping adventure, bringing the muscle racecar back on track. You can see the sideways fight in detail in the clip below.

Before you hit the “play” button though, do keep in mind that perhaps the juiciest bit of news with the 2016 Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak takes us under the hood.

Atmospheric engine fans will be happy to know the Challenger can be motivated by a 426 cubic inches (7-liter) HEMI V8, in which form the car can be yours for $99,426. Those who prefer the blown route can go for a 354 cubic inches (5.8-liter) supercharged HEMI V8. The latter is offered for a price of $109,354.

Look underneath the racecar and you’ll find new bits and pieces. For instance, the front suspension features a Mopar K-Member and custom geometry, while using adjustable dampers.

The rear end features a four-link suspension with a Panhard bar, a 4-inch solid axle with 9-inch aluminum third member (supplied by Strange Engineering), 40-spline gun drilled axles, adjustable dampers and a custom anti-roll bar.

As usual with such machines, the soundtrack, from idle to redline, is on the house.
