Eager to drive the new Mazda MX-5? Well, this applies to the rest of the petrolheads out there, but until now, only some automotive journalists have had such a chance. But don’t worry, Forza Horizon 2 will now allow you to drive the Japanese roadster with your joystick, by just sitting on the sofa.
Every now and then, we run from the real world and shelter in the virtual one just to recharge our batteries or simply for fun-related reasons. Speaking of which, Forza Horizon 2 players can download the Mazda car pack free of charge and take the convertible for a ride.

By doing that, you’ll be ahead of those waiting for the car to arrive at dealerships, but keep in mind that it’s virtual reality versus real life here, so the latter is more important. Just my two cents on it. But read this: besides the new Miata, you get to drive the 2010, 2005 and 1990 models in different computer-generated environments.

You can also take the 2010 MX-5 Super20 SEMA Show prototype for a ride, as well as the 2005 MAZDASPEED MX-5. Coming back to real life, production for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata has already begun, which means showrooms should start receiving the car in three months time.

But since we’re not the patient type, our weekend will be basically covered with long sessions Forza Horizon 2 driving and it will most likely involve some wheel spinning on the world’s most popular sportscar, sold in almost 1 million unit across the world since its 1989 launch.
