The GLC is just one of many SUVs that Mercedes-Benz wants to fill its arsenal with by the end of the year. But it's probably the most important since it competes in a segment of the market that brings both high volumes and profits.
Youtuber DrGumo recently filmed this short video showing a pearl white prototype that is barely disguised. For the past couple of years, the GLC has been a familiar sight all around Stuttgart, but the wraps are going to come off very soon.

The debut has been officially set for June the 17th, which is less than a month from today. Production and first deliveries will take a little while longer to happen though. Nobody is going to be surprised that the GLC looks a lot like the GLC Coupe concept shown in Shanghai. There's nothing wrong with the GLK, but recent Mercedes designs have all been class-leading, so we're hoping for quite the looker.

We expect it to be a bit larger in length, sitting at about 4.73 meters (186.2 inches). Despite this, some weight will be shed using the same engineering solutions like the W205 C-Class.

Mercedes-Benz also officially confirmed that sales of the GLC-Class will begin on September 12th. The engines that will be offered will probably all be 4- and 6-cylinder ones, ranging from the average diesels with 177 PS to a twin-turbo V6 making 367 PS for the benefit of the GLC 450 AMG Sport.

Yes, that's the same engine that takes the new GLE 450 AMG Coupe from 0 to 100 km/h 5.7 seconds. But considering the GLC is built on an all-new lighter platform, it should take only 5 seconds to reach the benchmark speed. The Audi SQ5 could be in trouble.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
