Grab a seat on the nostalgia train because Subaru wants you to remember every memory you've made with your SUV. This commercial for the 2016 Forester reminds you of the good family times you've enjoyed and suggests Foresters are as tough as old shoes.
Return business is critical for the Japanese brand. That's why reliability and safety are always given higher priority than fresh design and performance.

"Making Memories" is an ad tailored to the 2016 Forester and shows a father cleaning out his old SUV before he hands it over to his daughter who's off to college. He discovers her pink crayon from kindergarten, the tag she got from the hospital when she broke her leg and the little corsage she wore from prom night. Each object he finds in the car triggers a memory of a moment he shared with his daughter, which then magically appears on the lawn of his house.

Did he never wash or clean his family SUV in 16 years? That's a relevant question we will never get an answer to. Maybe he's a tough guy who things detergent is for girly men or maybe his wife scattered those things on purpose.

"You can pass down a Subaru, but you get to keep the memories. That's why we got another Forester,"
the narrator says.

The funny thing is that we haven't heard anything about a 2016 Forester. It's not on the website, and they haven't released any information either. But assuming this is the 2016 model, perhaps they've installed the new Subaru Starlink system, an automatic collision notification device that calls a service center whenever an airbag deploys. The SUV model also comes with the automaker’s famous Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, joined by an Active Torque Vectoring function for confident grip in all weather conditions.
