Toyota is not neglecting the Yaris and the way the model performs in the European market after the supermini recently received the brand's Safety Sense tech. But this time, it's all about the looks.
It's a good thing the Japanese brand puts safety first, but a car must also look good to keep its appeal towards the customers, right? I mean, Yaris sales have been steadily growing in Europe from 144,000 units in 2011 to more than 200,000 vehicles sold in 2015, and Toyota will want to maintain that upward trend.

Now, coming back to the updates available for the 2016 Yaris, we'd like to mention a new Style Grade and the Bi-Tone option.

Toyota tells us the Style Grade is now available for the Yaris Hybrid - a first for Toyota's green car. What clients get if they opt for this trim level is a black-painted honeycomb front grille embroidered with satin-chrome ornaments and front fog light surroundings.

The "all black everything" thematic is also continued inside, where the Style Grade comes with all-black seat upholstery and Piano Black inserts strategically placed around the cabin.

As far as the Bi-Tone option is concerned, Toyota's proposal consists of a metallic black 'wrap-around' exterior paint scheme with a "choice of exclusive interior finishes".

In other words, the Bi-Tone variant allows you to combine the Pearl White, Platinum Bronze or Barcelona Red body colors with a black finish applied on the roof, A-pillars and side mirrors.

The cabin can be decorated with two color schemes, besides the all-black one: Warm Grey or Soft-gradation Grey. In any case, not the happiest out there, as you can tell from the colors involved.

Don't ask us about pricing yet, but stay tuned because the new additions will be presented next month at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, where we'll get to see them in the metal. Sales are scheduled to begin next year, in January.
