First there's the 2016 Volvo S60 Inscription, a $36,695 machine that's made in China. Yes, boys and girls, you've heard that right! The Inscription is made in China and, put simply, it represents the long wheelbase version of the S60 sedan.

The first Chinese-manufactured car to be offered on sale by a mainstream automaker in the United States, the $36,695 price tag of the 2016 Volvo S60 Inscription includes a $995 destination charge. Animated by a 2-liter four-banger lump with 240 horsepower, the model comes with front-wheel drive as standard. Opt for the turbocharged 2.5L five-pot engine (250 HP) and all-wheel drive capability becomes available.

Other than an extra 2.9 inches (7.36 centimeters) of legroom, premium touches such as metal and walnut detailing, accent lighting, power rear and side window shades, among others, are offered. As for the 2016 Volvo S60 Cross Country, this is the sedan's softroading counterpart. A bit like Volkswagen's Alltrack treatment for the Passat and Golf, Cross Country in Volvo Cars jargon labels the vehicle that's aimed at more adventurous types of drivers.

This Swede holds a $44,495 sticker in the United States, including the $995 charge. The sedan version of the 2016 Volvo V60 Cross Country is driven by a 250 horsepower five-cylinder coupled to an all-wheel drive system. Both the S60 Inscription and S60 Cross Country come with satellite navigation as standard.
