360-Degree Drift on a Kawasaki Ninja 636 with Kyle Sliger

Some kids are really gifted and it only takes a step on the wild side to see them grow into respected stunt riders, just like Kyle Sliger. I’ve stumbled upon one of his short videos showing a 360 drift and instantly decided this was well worth sharing with you. And since Kyle is more than a young rider terrorizing those living close to parking lots, I’ve also added a video of him training.

Believe it or not, Kyle never actually rode a motorcycle until the age of 18… which makes him a stunt rider with less than 9 years of experience. He was inspired by his brothers, but they were not exactly keen to see him getting deeper and deeper involved in the freestyle stunt riding scene. However, it was already far too late to put an end to his dreams. Thus, Kyle took to parking lots and started training by himself, trying to replicate the tricks he saw in other’s routines.

“I decided to push for a professional career”

He later met his friend Josh Vetter who taught him basic things such as braking techniques, idle settings plus several tips and tricks. Kyle says that he feels extremely lucky that his job allowed him to travel and compete.

At a certain point he felt like he could become a pro stunt rider and seized the opportunity, accepting all that derived from it: the need of painstaking, long and tough training, maintaining his Kawasaki Ninja 636 in top-notch running condition and obviously, coming up with new tricks constantly.

As himself admits, he over did everything and “practiced a little bit too much” (is this even possible?), but the results were not long-expected, as he was able to take “the riding to another level”. You can find out more about Kyle Sliger from his website and social networks.
